Poznańska Galeria Nowa has officially been active since 1999, however Katarzyna Braniecka has been been organising exhibitions since 1996. Poznańska Galeria Nowa has hosted many solo and group exhibitions, not only within the gallery itself in Poznań but also in the BWA and MBWA as well as in the museum and other spaces across the city.

Poznańska Galeria Nowa has also organised a number of events in public spaces. One of the most significant was ANIMIZACJA NOWA* videomapping in 2009, an outdoor event which took place on the facade of the Raczyńskich library in Poznań during Museum Night.
ANIMIZACJA NOWA* was the first videomapping in Poland and was created by Arkadiusz Nowakowski
– artist, animator, freelancer, producer of films, director, musician, collector of interesting gadgets.

Poznańska Galerii Nowa actively supports independent artists and curators.
The SALTED CANDY series of exhibitions, instigated and curated
by Paulina Płachecka, is one such project.
Poznańska Galeria Nowa, together with the MBWA in Leszno and Galeria CKiS in Konin, held a competition in conjunction with Salted Candy 2009 due to the high quality of work shown. The competition was open to art graduates and art students in their final year of study.
